It was just another routine Friday, except that Philippa (my Revolting General Manager) wanted to treat the team to pizzas. And I declined my usual salad in order to give them a try. (FYI, until then, I was pretty much a take-it-or-leave it kinda girl when it came to pizza, but after just one visit to Andiccio, I have been back FOUR times. I wish I was joking).

Joburg’s most addictive pizza – and they deliver!

I’ve noticed that boutique chocolates have been dipping their toes in and out of the SA market for a number of years now and they seem to have finally dived right in because, much to my delight, I’m seeing them all over the place now! Honest to chocolate, these guys are amazing!

In the beating heart of Joburg, so much can be found that can’t be found anywhere else. One great example of this is Doubleshot Coffee and Tea right in the middle of all the incredible new galleries, developments, restaurants and more. Attention caffeine fiends! You WILL love this place.

I didn’t enjoy much about primary school, but I did enjoy the bake sales. I loved the tables (huge in my memory, but probably because I was so small) that were just packed with trays of deliciousness. The families’ specialties arrayed and arranged for tiny hands and pockets and bellie... Perfect pies and pastries at Not Bread Alone

I was a little dubious about the idea of putting an establishment that uses cheap alcohol as its draw card right in the middle of an already beer-soaked Greenside, but as soon as I walked into Mish Mash, my fears were allayed. Bottle store prices on the most impressive wine list I’ve ever seen!

Appearances can certainly be deceiving! I have driven past French Corner in Bryanston hundreds of times and just assumed it was a small little coffee shop. Little did I know that I was missing out on authentic French croissants, outstanding coffee and an absolutely divine menu! A little corner of France – in Bryanston!

I am usually too busy being lazy on the weekends to make it in time for most breakfast menus, but seeing as it’s the most important meal of the day, I’ve been doing my best to make up for it during the week. I started by paying a most rewarding visit to Bayleaf & Sage Nothing quite like a good breakfast menu, is there?
