There’s no better way to de-stress and get pampered than by spending an hour or two getting your hair and nails done. Especially at the same time… with a cappuccino in hand, too! That’s exactly what I got to enjoy Squarebubble Hairdressing.
While we expect most women to give their appearance a little extra TLC, ladies we know that life can get busy, time can fly by and before you know it, your roots looks like an ombre gone wrong, and your hands look like they’ve been sitting in dishwashing liquid for days.
So the next time you feel like you could do with a treatment or two, head down to Squarebubble Hairdressing in the heart of Bedfordview, where owner and stylist Redelia will attend to your locks while nail technician Jacqui will get those nails looking oh-so-fabulous!
I spent the morning there recently having my highlights done, as well as a mani-pedi. I was welcomed by friendly faces, immediately offered a cappuccino (nothing better in the cold winter morning) and relaxed with a bunch of magazines on my lap. The TV in the salon was playing amazing tunes which perked my mood up.
And then, heaven knocked on my door the minute I got to the basin, where Natasha, the apprentice, was waiting to wash my hair. In a matter of seconds, I had drifted off into another world – one where deadlines didn’t exist and where my three-year-old’s tantrums were a distant memory! Natasha gave me the longest and most relaxing head massage… I almost fell asleep.
Best part was, I was literally being pampered from head to toe. While Natasha and Redelia were making sure my tresses felt soft and silky and looking fabulous (you know the way us girls can never get it right at home – even with our fancy straighteners!), Jacqui was making sure my hands and feet were in tip-top shape.
I felt like a new woman and couldn’t wait to show it off, even if it was just at Woolies to buy some bread and milk.
