Darlings, I don’t know about you, but as much as I love my city, sometimes I feel like I just need to escape the hustle and bustle for a little while. To relax and revitalise, you know? And that’s exactly I recently did with my partner … our one-night stay at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff left us feeling like we’d escaped the city buzz for a whole entire week!
We arrived at the hotel and were instantly blown away by the cool and contemporary décor with its modern African twists. The staff members were all as warm and welcoming as can be, which only added to the pleasant and ever-so-luxurious atmosphere. We were then shown to our room, a deluxe one-bedroom suite. Darlings, it was luxury at its finest!
Our room was plush and comfortable, and even offered a fabulous balcony view over the whole of Joburg … it was simply breathtaking. We both felt as if we were hundreds of kilometres outside of the city … as if we’d escaped to a haven of some sort. Staying in this gorgeous hotel was the most tranquil getaway I’ve ever been treated to!
We also had dinner at the hotel’s very own View Restaurant during our stay. The three-course meal that we tucked into was sublime … compliments to the chef who left us wanting more! The panoramic view of the city that we breathed in while indulging in fine food and wine was equally as charming.
I must also mention that, for a hotel establishment, the atmosphere of the restaurant was great … with both indoor and outdoor seating in a prime hilltop location, it gave off a relaxing and super-stylish ambiance. It was just divine!
Breakfast the next day was served in View Restaurant, too. We were presented with a gorgeous spread of fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs and other tasty options. And you can bet that our morning meal was as delicious as our dinner. My egg white omelette (excuse me, I’m a healthy eating fanatic!) was especially satisfying.
Before we left the hotel, we made sure to stretch out at the glimmering pool. Catching some sun at the beautiful poolside was the perfect ending to our stay. We left feeling wonderfully refreshed, and you can bet that I’m already planning our next little getaway!
