So, I happen to be one of those people who relish the start of every season but winter … because as soon as the cold air comes knocking, dry skin issues follow a very short distance behind. However, in this very unstable winter, I’ve said hello to Babor’s two-part cleansing process, and it’s been quite the pleasant experience!
I’ve often found myself having to experiment with different facial products to keep my skin sufficiently moisturised during the cold months (my skin tends to peel … not a good look at all)! Plus, I would never turn down the opportunity to try out an expensive product because, in my head, for its price, it has to contain ground-breaking ingredients – it looks like I hit the nail on the head with this one.
Babor has combined the natural cleansing powers of water and oil, creating a product that is quite unique in the skincare market. To achieve the best results, I’ve been using the Babor Cleansing HY-OL hydrophilic cleansing oil in conjunction with the Cleansing Phytoactive Base (I’m completely in love with the strong yet fresh scent). This combination has left my skin feeling moisturised and baby soft, while also giving it a healthy glow. I love how well my skin has been able to retain the moisture!
I’m also in awe of how easy and effective the make up removal process is made with these products. Spending time scrubbing makeup off is a mission some of us can do without, especially just before bed and after a draining day. Even the likes of waterproof mascara are removed without a trace. The products are suitable for all skin types, so anyone can enjoy it!
So you’re probably wondering what they contain exactly? The HY-ÖL cleanser contains pure, natural soybean, sesame and peanut oils, as well as Quillaja extract, which enhances the cleansing effect. The Phytoactive Base contains selected herbal essences of mint, birch and rosemary, which invigorate and refresh the skin.
You can purchase the 200ml HY-ÖL cleanser for R422 and the 100ml Phytoactive Base for R341. I’ll admit that the combination is quite pricey but as we all know, quality doesn’t come cheap. A shot to the pocket in exchange for a fresh, rosy glow… I’d say it’s worth it!
Say Hi to Babor on .
