Darlings, I’ve got some good news for you … Garnier has just launched a divine new line by the name of Ultimate Blends that’s now available in stores. That’s right … after killing it overseas, the super-affordable range is now here for you to stock up on! Can you tell how excited I am about it?
So allow me to fill you in on what it’s all about … the Ultimate Blends line includes five different formulas, each of which have their own shampoos, conditioners and masks that are formulated with precious lightweight oils and heavenly natural extracts. Think argan oil, royal jelly, coconut oil, avocado and shea butter … divine, isn’t it? And, well, good news … these products all smell as delicious as they sound!
What’s more is that each of the five sensational formulas is aimed at targeting a specific hair care problem. There’s the Cranberry & Argan Colour Illuminator for colour-treated hair, the Honey Treasures Strength Restorer for fragile hair (which even has its own silicone serum unlike the others), the Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Sleek Restorer for dry, frizzy hair, the Avocado & Shea Butter Nourishing Repair for very dry hair, and the 5 Essentials – The Fresh Revitaliser for normal hair.
I gave the Cranberry & Argan Colour Illuminator shampoo and conditioner a try because my hair is colour-treated, and I also love the Honey Treasures Strength Restorer products because my hair is fragile due to regular bleaching (because outgrown roots just aren’t so pretty, you know?).
So what are the products themselves like? I’m happy to report they’ve seriously impressed me! The Cranberry & Argan duo smells fresh and gorgeous and lathers well, so you don’t need loads of it to wash and condition your locks. Plus, it’s super-gentle, so your hair by no means feels dry or “strippy” afterwards.
The Honey Treasures shampoo and conditioner, on the other hand, is by far my favourite … it has the most amazing light vanilla, honey and musk kind of fragrance, which I just can’t get enough of.
I’m yet to try the other three formulas out, but you can bet that I will soon. I’m a sucker for the packaging, and considering it’s all so eye-catching, I’m surprised I didn’t fill my trolley with the entire range when Ultimate Blends first hit SA shelves (budget constraints, you know?).
You’ll be happy to know though that these hard-working, divine-smelling products are pocket-friendly, which is a huge plus (are you also feeling the financial burn this year?), with 250ml bottles priced at R39.95 each, 400ml bottles at R69.95 each and the silicone serum at R69.95 a pop. And the best part? You can pick up any of the dandy products I’ve just let you in on at your local Clicks pharmacy. Go and get them while they’re hot, Darlings! Here’s to beautiful hair.
