As you all know by now lip balm is a big deal for me. A little while ago I told you all about how I have a secret lip balm stash in every nook and cranny including my car, handbag, bedside table and desk drawer. It should also go without saying that my motto in life is, “there’s always room for another lip balm.” You see, having dry lips is like a form of Medieval torture for me, and when my lips start to feel even the slightest bit parched the first thing I do is reach for the lip balm. The obsession goes so deep that I even have different kinds of lip balms for different dry lip situations and right now I have about four or five different lip balms that I am besotted with for different reasons. I am also always on the lookout for new, fabulous lip balms but sadly it’s been a while since I’ve become completely obsessed with a new lip balm. That is until I was introduced to HashtagAwesome and eos lip balms! These little balls of awesome have changed my life and it’s about time you hear all about them.
eos, or Evolution of Smooth, is an American based company that specialises in stylish and effective daily-use beauty products for the busy woman. They’ve got a whole range of super cool products and before now all we could do is lust after them from afar. But all that changed when local online retailer HashtagAwesome decided to make their absolutely incredible lip balms available to us, alongside some other pretty awesome and previously unobtainable beauty products. That’s right: you can now visit HashtagAwesome.co.za and shop for a range of eos lip balms, Naked make-up pallets by Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow eyebrow primer, Too Faced blush compacts and more! All of these high-end products are super difficult to come by on our shores but now you can have them with just the click of a mouse – too cool!
But enough about that, let’s get back to the eos lip balms and why I am besotted with them. The eos lip balm range includes a wide range of flavours and colours including Medicated Tangerine, Pomegranate Raspberry, Blueberry Acai, Coconut Milk, Lemon Drop, Sweet Mint, and more. The lip balms are priced at R99 each, which might seem steep but they last ages. I got the chance to try the eos Strawberry Sorbet lip balm as well as the Summer Fruit lip balm both of which are crazy awesome, and was amazed at how yummy the flavours taste when on your lips and how soft they make your lips feel.
But that’s not all; not only do these little gems make your lips super smooth when you use them but the shape of the balms and packaging is too genius for words. The rounded shape of the lip balm case, twist-off cap and the globe-like shape of the balm inside allows you to cover your entire lip area with nourishing balm with ease. It might sound silly but it really does make a difference. The balm itself is enriched with natural conditioning oils, moisturising Shea butter and vitamins C and E which means that after just one use you will have super soft lips for ages. The little spherical lip balms are a great stocking filler for Christmas or an addition to a birthday gift for a special friend and right now I am lusting after each and every flavour. I also have my eye on the special limited edition eos Holiday 3-Pack Lip Balm by Rachel Roy which includes brand-new, limited edition flavours Indian Summer, Orange Blossom, Strawberry Kiwi, and St. Barth's Sunrise Pink Grapefruit (R299).
HashtagAwesome also sells the eos handcream range which I am dying to try but alas, when I visited the store it was sold out. Holding thumbs they get new stock soon!
