There’s no doubt about it, one of the most important aspects of a finished make-up look is the eyebrows. You can spend hours crafting the perfect look but if your eyebrows aren’t in tip-top shape it can ruin the whole thing. As you know I get my eyebrows shaped by the lovely Michelle over at Just Browzing and over the past few months she has taken my eyebrows from drab to fab and I love her for it. But my monthly meetings with Michelle aren’t enough and I have found that I also need to put in some work from my side - and that’s where today’s find comes in. London brand, Eylure is starting a brow revolution in South Africa and I am welcoming them with open arms!
The luxury brow brand offers ladies and men the chance to take charge of their own brow maintenance – something that has been, up until now, a salon offering only. The range features products like the Brow Palette (available in mid brown, dark brown and blonde at R162.99) which includes a firm hold wax for sculpting and a pigmented powder for colour and filling in; Brow Crayon which allows for a soft, smudge-proof application and long-lasting colour (R124.24), and Brow Ink (R108.99) which gives you the power to create a precise tattoo-type finish for your brows. For those brave ladies who want to take their brow shaping into their own hands, Eylure offers Brow Stencils (R64.99) reusable easy-to-style brow templates that help you create your desired shape as well as Brow Shapers (R64.99), a cold wax style product that allows you to shape your brows using different shaped and sized wax strips.
I got the chance to try out the Permanent Tint for Brows (available in dark brown and mid brown at R129.99) which will allow you to achieve dark, glossy brows in just 10 minutes; Brow Nourishing Oil (R108.90) which promotes brow growth during sleep and helps you grow out your brows for optimal shaping; and the Brow Control and Shape Gel (R108.99) which offers long-hold as well as much needed nutrients for your brows with Aloe Vera and Nettle Leaf Extract. The brow tint is definitely my favourite product and I love how easy it is to use. The colour lasts up to six weeks and I was excited to see that it made my brows looks more defined after using it. I also loved the shape gel as it helps me whip my brows into shape for a big night out.
