Darlings, fabulous news! Super popular UK beauty brand, Lush, is now available to Joburgers (eep!) The beauty brand arrived in South Africa a little while ago, setting up shop at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront and has only been available to those in the Mother City until now. When I first heard the news that they were opening their first store in Cape Town I was most perturbed (especially when one store turned into two and then three!) because Joburg is awesome and we deserve pretty smelling things too! After months of throwing my toys out of the cot and telling everyone who would listen that we need our very own Lush here in Jozi, I decided to pay a visit to their website (because sometimes I just like to visit the things I’m lusting after and have them in my life for just a moment) and there it was – an online store! In that moment I almost fell out of my chair I was so excited because now I could get my Lush Fix whenever I wanted!
One of my favourite things about Lush is that they serve up fresh, handmade cosmetics to customers who crave products that are great for their skin and the environment. All their products are made from fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils, and safe synthetics. I also love that they don't test their products on animals! And, there are very little or no preservatives in their products or packaging.
Their products are also great for vegetarians – you can use everything in their range without having a guilty conscience about how it's going to affect the environment. I love that Lush is open and honest about everything that's in their products so you know just what you're putting on your skin.
From gorgeous soaps and creams to shower gels and shampoo - they've got something for everyone to indulge in. For long, steamy bath sessions pick up one of their Bath Bombs, Bath Melts or Bubble Bars; for scrubbing up and getting clean you'll love their Shower Jellies, Shower Gels, Butter Creams, Smoothies, Emotibombs, and Sugar Scrubs, and for gorgeous locks Shampoo bars, Solid Shampoos, Bottled Shampoos, Bottled Conditioners, Hair Gels, Hair Treatments, Scalp Treatment, and Henna are the way to go.
The UK brand is also well known for a few genius products that have changed the beauty routine of women the world over. Their massage bars are to die for (these clever little bars look like soap but are really a burst of moisture for any part of your body) - just rub the bar on your skin to feel the ultra moisturising effect. The Shimmy Shimmy bar is one of their most popular products with most customers loving the sparkle and scent the bar gives your skin.
Something else that literally flies off the shelves is their Popcorn Lip Scrub (one of my absolute fave products!) The best-selling sugary lip scrub clears dead skin and flakiness from lips, leaving them moisturised and smooth. It's one of those products you just have to have and once you pop the lid of this baby you will never want to stop.
