Today's find isn't so much a find, it's more of an announcement really, because today I am super excited to announce that the world famous and much loved Rekorderlig fruit cider range has finally arrived in South Africa! South Africans who have travelled extensively overseas already love the Swedish cider and so will be thrilled to hear that now, instead of bribing their overseas friends and family to bring it along with them on their visits they can just pop down to their local bottle store and pick up a six pack or two to enjoy at home whenever they want. And, if you haven't tried this delicious cider range yet then get ready to fall in love because WOW, is it delicious!
The thing I love most of Rekorderlig is that it offers discerning customers a full range of unique fruit ciders – gone are the days of sipping on nothing but apple cider; now we have three unique and delicious flavours to choose from! Rekorderlig really is unlike any other cider available in South Africa at the moment, instead of just apple the cider is blended with succulent pears and infused with the freshest fruit combinations giving each one a unique taste. The Rekorderlig range includes a total of six ciders and now we have three of those delicious flavours available right here on our shores. These include Strawberry-lime, Pear, and Wild Berries.
I got the chance to sample all three flavours of the new cider and absolutely loved them. I will admit that, because the ciders are so different from anything else we have available here they did take a little bit of getting used to, but once my palate adjusted I couldn't get enough! After some extensive taste tests I have decided that the Wild Berries flavour is by far my favourite followed closely by the Strawberry-lime of course!
The ciders come in a stunning 500ml bottle and can be enjoyed and shared with a friend over dinner or all on your own on a lazy Saturday afternoon by the pool. They would also work fabulously as a welcome drink for guests at your next braai or summer lunch - just pour them into a large jug and serve with lots of ice and sprigs of mint for a delicious cocktail. The yummy ciders will set you back about R48 per bottle at restau-rants, bars and events and about R485 per case of 15 bottles at Liquor City, Makro, Spar Tops and other leading bottle stores around the country.
