Darlings, there really is a god of fashion! How else could you possibly explain the existence of a dedicated Forever New factory shop? A while ago we gave you a heads up on a little shop called Brandmania in Woodmead, which stocks a range of Aldo, Forever New, Nine West and Zoom garments at seriously low prices, and while I absolutely love that shop to bits I’ve always wished it would stock a few more Forever New goodies. I’m simply obsessed with Forever New and if it wasn’t for one teeny tiny obstacle ninety percent of my closet would be from their stores – you see my bottomless money pit has all but dried up (ok fine, it never existed) so endless shopping sprees at my favourite store have been put on hold until I find a rich benefactor. Until now that is! Because who needs a rich benefactor when there’s a Forever New factory store just fifteen minutes from my office?
When I first paid a visit to the Forever New factory store at the World Wear Shopping Centre in Fairland I didn’t quite know what to expect. The word factory shop or outlet store doesn’t exactly scream clean and classy, and most of the ones I have been to force the beautiful clothes to live in horrible conditions. Often factory store visits consist of you spending hours scratching through what are essentially giant piles of clothes and then being forced to stretch out the clothes you want in an attempt to free them from the hot mess they are buried under. I won’t lie, I became a little emotional just thinking about the whole thing because those giant metal bins are no place for Forever New dresses! But when I first stepped foot into this Forever New factory store I almost burst into tears. No really, if they allowed me to I would probably build a little house in the corner of this store and never ever leave (ever). It is just so beautiful and is everything I imagine a Forever New store to be.
The Forever New factory shop is a complete pleasure to shop in – all the clothes and accessories are beautifully presented and lovingly hung on clothing racks and hooks and unpacked onto shelves. And the best bit? The discounts are real! Items are hugely discounted with a whopping fifty to seventy percent off so you can find some great stuff to suit your budget. What’s more, if you think the shop is stuffed full of things from three seasons ago then you’d be insanely wrong because I found things I’d been lusting after during the December holidays at a fraction of the price. I scored a beautiful white shift dress for just R400 (original price R899) and a gorgeous black and white striped pencil skirt for R145 (I promise I’m not making this up!)
The bottom line is there’s no spending endless hours of hard labour trying to find great bargains here. And, if you go now you can take advantage of the mad summer sale they are having and get certain items for an additional twenty or thirty percent off. The shop stocks everything from Forever New shoes, handbags and dresses to accessories, trousers, blouses and sunglasses so there’s plenty of opportunities to stock up on things for yourself, friends and family.
And, while you’re at it make sure you also check out the rest of World Wear because there are loads of factory stores to explore including Lee Cooper, Superga, Aldo, Diesel and LEGO!
