Darlings, who doesn’t love a good glass of wine at the end of the working day? I know I do! That’s why I was super-excited to visit Kramerville’s newest venue, a pop-up wine bar called Wine Not (get it?).
Wine Not is in the heart of Kramerville … hidden amongst all the stunning furniture and dècor stores that call the area their home. Actually, it’s inside a place called Level Three Premium Venue, which is just about as premium as they come!
This pop-up bar happens once a month and is perfect for after-work drinks. It can turn into quite the party as the night goes on, I might add. I arrived at about 10pm and could easily spot the folks who had been there from the get-go. Smart, corporately-dressed guys and gals who weren’t exactly dancing on tables but let’s just say a lot of wine had been thrown around the dance floor … all in good fun, of course!
So, as you might’ve guessed, they’ve got a pretty extensive wine list … which is fabulous if you’re into that (pick me!), but if you’re not a vino lover, don’t worry – there are other thirst-quenching options on the menu to keep you happy.
As for the layout of the place, there is a dance floor (DJ and all) in the venue’s main area with a balcony for smokers to hang out on. Climb the fire escape and you’re greeted by the most stunning view of Joburg … wow, our city really is beautiful at night! I mostly hung out on the rooftop, chatting to friends and admiring the view before heading back down to the main area to end my night off with some dancing!
I would certainly recommend visiting Wine Not in time to watch the sun set from the rooftop with a glass of wine in hand. Next time, I’m getting there earlier!
