Shopping for swimwear in South Africa can be a nightmare! Mostly because I’m sick and tired of finding the same bog-standard colours and designs in every store and I think it’s high time we get some sassier stuff here. Which is why I love today’s find so much! I actually discovered this find a little while ago but haven’t shared it until now because it took me ages to take the plunge and actually get my hands on one of their bikinis. And, now that I have one all I can say is this - if you love all things sassy and sexy then you simply have to check out T-Rex Couture’s swimwear!
T-Rex Couture is an online store specialising in sexy swimwear, fabulous crop tops, gorgeous dresses and funky accessories that will knock your socks off (and take your man’s breath away). While all the funky stuff they stock is worth a look it’s their swimwear that really steals the show. I just love that they offer so many different styles and designs, and whether you’re a buxom babe, a happy hippy or a vintage girl at heart you’ll find something here to lust after.
Some of my favourites from the range include the 50s pin-up style Monochrome High Waisted Vintage Bikini with halterneck top (R400), the oh-so-cute Tribal Paisley Bikini (R450), the va-va-voom Volume Push Up Bikini (in white or leopard print – R500) and the trendy Bandage Bikini (R800). I got my hands on one of their super sassy jewelled bikinis (R500) and just love it to bits. The bikini is fully lined (it’s heartbreaking when you order a bikini online only to discover there’s no lining!) and fully padded (another lifesaver) and the top is convertible into either a boob tube or a halter neck. I’ve worn it both ways and love both styles – the boob tube is perfect for tanning, while it’s great to have a little support from the halter neck strap when swimming. The bikini bottoms are tie bottoms (which I love) and I found the bikini to be super comfy. I also love the coloured stones on the bikini top and the bright-colourful print on the top and the bottoms.
