The only other feature of mine that I love more than my eyes, is my hair. It’s also the feature that I love to play around with the most! I’ve tried short hair, long hair, straight hair, curly hair, as well as light brown, mahogany, blue-black and black in terms of the colour (you’re probably picturing me as a clown) … but I promise, I only ever try something if I feel like it might suit me. Recently, I decided to give Easihair Pro’s hair extensions a try.

Easihair Pro uses a unique taping method to insert the extensions. Now … I know what you might be thinking – tape plus hair equals disaster! But it’s not like that at all. The hair extensions are attached to a thin piece of plastic that is sticky on one end (that’s obviously the part that goes on your hair). Then an additional panel is taped on the opposite side of that panel (it’s basically like sandwiching a small section of your hair between two panels). And the hair extensions grow out as your hair grows!

Now don’t get me wrong, when I went for my first consultation to Hair Design on Bradford in Bedfordview (only certain salons do these extensions), I was a little nervous. But my stylist, Gaby, was really helpful and explained the entire process to me. The consultation also allows the salon to be able to order the hair for you. The amount (or boxes) of hair that you need is all dependant on the style you’d like to try (I needed two boxes - which is around R4200, including installation). I had recently cut my hair (think a just-above-the-shoulder-length bob with longer layers in the front) … so there was no way I could extend the hair at the back without it looking obvious that I had extensions (I did warn you that I like to try different hairstyles).

We decided to simply extend the front and to use hair that’s a lighter shade of brown (it gives off this ombre look). Once my hair arrived (and yes, I know how strange that sounds), I paid another visit to Hair Design on Bradford. The application process took an hour at the most and was completely painless. (You can even enjoy an amazing cup of cappuccino while you’re getting your hair done!) We then layered the front so that it blended in with style of my cut and … voilà! It was that easy! So if you’re looking for long hair without having to wait for it to grow out – why not give these hair extensions a try.

It’s important to note that Easyhair Pro has a special shampoo and leave-in conditioner for hair extensions (to keep them healthy and vibrant).

Say Hi to Easihair Pro on .
