A year ago I got eyelash extensions for the first time and I won’t lie, I instantly fell in love with the concept. I mean, what’s not to love? I never had to bother with applying mascara (seriously, stressing about clumps and getting your lashes looking picture perfect is a pain of note) and my lashes looked super cool all the time, even when I had just woken up! I was all set on adding lash extensions to my monthly budget when my bank balance came knocking at the door with a friendly reminder that things like food, car insurance and the rest of life’s annoying little bills should probably take preference over me having beautiful lashes. So alas I came crashing down to reality and haven’t had extensions since (being a responsible adult is the worst). That is until I discovered Roxy and Lash Central! Because of her my lashes have a new lease on life and I am beyond grateful!
My favourite thing about Roxy and her amazing lash business, Lash Central, is that she wouldn’t dream of charging customers an arm and a leg for eyelash extensions. I did my research and found that most places are charging crazy prices for eyelash extensions these days – standard prices range between R800 and R1100 for a full set of lashes, and fills range from about R220 to R380 for a two week fill. What’s more most places also make you soak off after four weeks and you have to fork out all over again. But not with Lash Central!
Roxy charges just R600 for a full set of lashes, R150 for a 2 week fill, R200 for a 3 week fill and R250 for a 4 week fill! What’s more, unless you want a completely different look she won’t make you soak off and start from scratch because technically your lashes are doing the work for you by falling out naturally, which means you just need to maintain them. With that attitude, I am quite convinced that Roxy is an angel sent from heaven above.
But it’s not just her prices that make me giddy, it’s also the fact that she is one talented lass! I went to Roxy for eyelash extensions a few weeks ago and have had nothing but compliments on my eyelashes. Everywhere I went people asked me about them and commented on how stunning my lashes looked and, to top it all off, I have even had comments from other beauty therapists who commented on how natural and beautiful they look. The extensions Roxy uses are also super lightweight (I’ve almost forgotten they are there – until I look in the mirror of course) and they have stayed as pretty as punch throughout my morning cleanse routine and my weird rough sleeping habits.
