The invention of online shopping is quite possibly the worst thing to have happened to me – ever. It’s just made it too damn easy for me to spend my money on fabulous finds and I’m always being caught by some or other fantastic deal by online retailers. My friends and family will probably tell you I’m an addict but I prefer to put a positive spin on it by referring to myself as on online shopping expert (if only that was real job title). Like any addict (I mean expert) I’m always on the hunt for new and exciting opportunities to shop online and today I’m thrilled to share my latest find, SassyChic, with you all!
The online fashion and lingerie store was created by savvy mother-daughter team Roxanne Bromley-Norton and and Karen Spies to bring affordable but beautiful and trendy clothes, lingerie and accessories to South African women. What I love most about the store is its strong local focus. Most of the garments available for sale have been designed and manufactured right here in SA! On their site you’ll find fabulous items from Cape Town to Jozi and everywhere in-between – which means you’ll have access to local items you wouldn’t normally be able to find without physically visiting those cities. I also loved that they host regular trunk shows and pop-up stores for tentative shoppers who want to physically touch the merchandise before diving into the online shopping world. They also have regular online sales where you can get tons of lovely stuff at a reduced price!
The online store currently stocks Adam & Eve, Amanda May, Blackcherry Handbags, BlakListed, Dear Heart, Jinger Jack, Treasure Chest, TWO and many other exciting brands. I gave SassyChic a try recently and absolutely loved the experience! The process was quick and painless and while the shop may seem small that was what I loved most about it. Some online stores have such a huge selection that it can be overwhelming and I often throw in the towel when I find I’ve been searching for too long. I loved that shoppers can browse by category - new, designer, clothing type, lingerie or sale - and narrow down their purchases with relative ease.
I scoured the different sections of the store (which features everything from blouses and bottoms to accessories and shoes) and it wasn’t long before I’d bookmarked at least six different items. Luckily for my budget I’d set myself a R500 limit before the shop and so settled on two lovely items from the sale section – a pretty dirty pink Adam & Eve 'Tate' Mini Skirt (was R348, marked down to R239) and a blue LABEL Femme Longer Length Cardigan (was R490, marked down to R245!) From there I proceeded to the checkout and in just 2 days I had my items!
I must say I was quite impressed with the quality of the items and loved that the store offers free delivery anywhere in South Africa! I suggest you and your credit card pay a visit today! Have a chat with them on !
