The shortest horror story: It’s your BFFs birthday and you still haven’t found the perfect present … dun dun dun. Life has a way of, well, getting in the way - especially when it comes to things like buying presents. T-minus two hours until you’re expected to arrive with a fabulous gift and panic sets in. It’s simple really, as the hours become fewer and fewer, the stress levels around gift shopping become higher and higher. Here are your options – you can succumb to the impersonal gift card, schlep from shop to shop trying to hunt something, heck, anything down (sounds like one massive mission if you ask me), or you can simply pop into Rosedales Gifts & Décor.

That’s why I’m here … to pound the pavements on your behalf, searching every nook and cranny. Which is exactly how I discovered Rosedales Gifts & Décor - you’ll find it right next door to Rocomamas in Appeltons Village in Randburg. Rosedales is run by Lynn Beaurain who co-owns the gifting and décor shop with her three sons and daughters-in-law - talk about a family affair.
Summed up, Rosedales is like the Toys R Us for adults because you’ll find things here you never knew you needed – until you try choosing just one. It’s also the perfect spot for last minute gift shopping because it’s chock-full of fantastic goodies – there’s everything from ceramics and cushions, to wall décor, baby-wear, retro gimmicks, blue Ming vases, puzzles that will put the rubik's cube to shame, and funky kitchen gear … I could go on and on for ages, can you tell? But perhaps my favourite find is Granny B’s Old Fashioned Paint – the paint everyone is chalking about. It has a chalk finish and can be applied to any surface without preparation or sanding – ceramics, enamel, wood, plastic, glass and get this, even fabric. Pop in to Rosedales Gifts & Decor … you’ll definitely walk out with way more than you bargained for. I most certainly did!
