How do you ladies feel about colouring your hair? Personally, I’m not a big fan of it … anymore. If I’m being honest – I used to colour my hair all the time. Then one day I realised that I actually like my natural hair colour (anyone out there agree?). That’s perhaps why I was so eager to try out the glossing treatment at LDR in Bedfordview.
For those of you that have never been for a glossing treatment – it’s meant to bring out your hair’s gorgeous, natural colour and to add a little shine to your hair too (anyone have an important event or occasion coming up … hint hint). LDR was started by Louise and she’s all about making you feel better about yourself … so you don’t feel like just another face but rather like a valued individual.
To start off with, my hair was washed twice and treated using the WELLA SP Smoothen line, which obviously removes tangle and any frizz from your hair (but there are several other types of products that you can use, depending on the type of hair you have). It also prepares your hair for the MicroMist treatment. Now, you may ask what MicroMist (which I have dubbed Miracle Mist) is … the mist basically ensures that the treatment gets into your roots, and thus lasts longer. (Now you know why I call it a miracle!)
Anyway, after I sat under the ‘alien-looking’ machine where the MicroMist is applied for about eight minutes (that’s all you need!), Louise cut a fringe for me and did a blow wave. (Have I mentioned how much I love getting my hair done?!) Needless to say, my hair looked glossy, healthy and beautiful when I left LDR … so why not pop by there the next time you need a gorgeous hairdo?
