Ok so don’t tell the boyfriend but I have recently fallen in love with a guy named Sam (gasp!) Mr Sam Moosa to be exact. He’s a triple threat of note (literally) and is the undeniable king of popular local triangular treat, the samoosa. Born and bred in South Africa Sam is hell-bent on revolutionising the samoosa game by bringing Joburgers the very best samoosas they have ever tasted. And the best news? He’s selling them via his super cool online store so there’s no driving around trying to locate them; nope these delicious babies will come to you! Here’s why you simply must visit his website and order a batch of Sam Moosa’s samoosas today.
The thing I love most about Sam Moosa is that their triangular treats are packed with flavour. These aren’t your dodgy convenience store samoosas - no, these are gourmet delights that even your fussiest Muslim granny will absolute adore. I also love that the Sam Moosa brand itself is fun and quirky and they have really gone all out to take the business of selling samoosas to the next level. Their website is modern, funny and easy to use - with just a click and drag of the mouse you can order as many samoosas as your heart desires.
The samoosas can be ordered in four delicious flavours - Cheese and Corn, Chicken, Lamb, and Potato - and are priced from R50 for a box of 10 samoosas to R400 for 100 samoosas. Once ordered the triangular delights can be delivered straight to your door for just R20! All the samoosas in the range are also Halaal and can be ordered hot or mild to suit your taste buds. I also love that the Samoosas come frozen so you can store them in your freezer and fry them up or bake them when you’re craving a delicious curry and pastry fix.
I got the chance to sample the Cheese, Lamb and Potato samoosas and absolutely loved them. I must warn you they do have quite a bite though, so if you’re not too fond of super spicy things then make sure you go for the mild ones. I tried making them both ways (fried and oven baked) and found that they came out delicious and crispy both ways (which is great news for my waist!) I kept them in my freezer for the month and loved being able to whip up a few samoosas when I had guests over or just felt like a little indulgent snack on a lazy weekend afternoon. If you love samoosas then Sam Moosa’s treats are a must try!
For a good laugh and to find out more about this awesome company .
